Despite the month-on-month decrease, several countries remain vital destinations for Vietnam’s exports, with the year-to-date total for this product category standing at $26,881,852,118.
In June 2025, the top five destinations by dollar value for Vietnam’s exports of machine, equipment, tools and instruments were:
USA
The USA emerged as the top destination in June, with export values reaching $2,044,167,438.
This represents a -3.06 percent month-on-month change from May.
The USA’s year-to-date total for these exports stands at $11,307,612,931, accounting for 42.06 percent of all YTD exports in this category.
China
China followed as the second-largest destination, with June exports valued at $518,436,535.
This figure indicates a -13.23 percent month-on-month change.
China’s year-to-date total for these exports is $2,312,155,959, representing 8.60 percent of the total YTD exports for this product category.
South Korea
South Korea secured the third position in June with exports totaling $258,852,458.
This indicates a 0.43 percent month-on-month change.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s exports of machine, equipment, tools and instruments is $1,494,977,607, making up 5.56 percent of the total YTD exports.
Hong Kong
Hong Kong contributed $232,821,338 worth of machine, equipment, tools and instruments in June.
Notably, Hong Kong experienced a -7.89 percent month-on-month decrease.
Hong Kong’s year-to-date total for these exports is $1,449,305,315, accounting for 5.39 percent of the total YTD exports for this product.
Japan
Japan rounded out the top five export destinations with $220,813,769 in June exports.
This country saw a 0.70 percent month-on-month increase.
Japan’s year-to-date total for these exports is $1,301,050,854, representing 4.84 percent of the total YTD exports for this category.
