Household equipment and appliance prices in Vietnam rise .05 percent in February: CPI data

Household equipment and appliance prices in Vietnam increased by 0.05 percent in February, driven by higher raw material and transportation costs, according to Vietnam’s Consumer Price Index.

Plastic and rubber product prices saw the highest increase at 0.51 percent, followed by metal utensils, which rose by 0.38 percent. Electric lighting increased by 0.2 percent, while household services rose by 0.15 percent. Non-electric stoves, electric gas, and electric appliances all increased by 0.14 percent, and prices for beds, wardrobes, tables, and chairs grew by 0.07 percent. Glass, porcelain, and ceramic products saw a modest rise of 0.04 percent.

Vietnamese consumers have access to a wide selection of both domestic and imported brands, with local manufacturers providing cost-effective choices and global brands catering to mid-range and luxury buyers. Discounts and promotions from online shopping platforms and electronics retailers make it possible to find appliances at competitive rates.
