Vietnam’s exports of glass and glassware reached US$111.07 million in April 2025, according to figures released by Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This represents a marginal decrease of 0.58 percent compared to March, with a year-to-date (YTD) export value of US$416.24 million.
Singapore remains the top export market despite a decrease:
Singapore was the leading export market in April, with exports valued at US$47.94 million. Despite a decrease of 12.32 percent from March, Singapore accounts for the largest share of the year-to-date exports at 48.52 percent.
USA sees significant growth to become the second-largest market:
The USA was the second-largest export market in April, with exports valued at US$37.21 million, a substantial increase of 25.93 percent from the previous month. The USA accounts for 27.14 percent of the year-to-date exports.
Malaysia sees marginal growth:
Exports to Malaysia experienced a slight increase of 1.57 percent in April, reaching US$2.85 million. Malaysia accounts for 3.69 percent of the year-to-date exports.
Philippines records substantial growth:
Exports to the Philippines saw a significant increase of 80.90 percent in April, reaching US$1.96 million. Philippines accounts for 0.84 percent of the year-to-date exports.
Significant month-on-month increases and decreases:
Philippines experienced the largest month-on-month increase at 80.90 percent, followed by Japan and USA. Conversely, China experienced the most significant decrease at 56.06 percent, followed by Taiwan and Canada.
