USA
The USA emerged as the top supplier in June, with import values reaching $177,491,798.
This represents a 0.27 percent month-on-month change from May.
The USA’s year-to-date total for these imports stands at $799,430,998, accounting for 49.33 percent of all YTD imports in this category.
Brazil
Brazil followed as the second-largest source, with June imports valued at $52,040,045.
This figure indicates a -18.70 percent month-on-month change.
Brazil’s year-to-date total for these imports is $543,315,695, representing 33.52 percent of the total YTD imports for this product category.
Australia
Australia secured the third position in June with imports totaling $12,003,393.
This indicates a 76.39 percent month-on-month change.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s imports of cotton is $92,697,063, making up 5.72 percent of the total YTD imports.
India
India contributed $5,667,569 worth of cotton in June.
Notably, India experienced a -28.18 percent month-on-month decrease.
India’s year-to-date total for these imports is $49,487,139, accounting for 3.05 percent of the total YTD imports for this product.
Argentina
Argentina rounded out the top five import sources with $4,397,024 in June imports.
This country showed strong positive momentum with a 1214.18 percent month-on-month increase.
Argentina’s year-to-date total for these imports is $15,756,287, representing 0.97 percent of the total YTD imports for this category.
