Fresh milk: Vietnam production up 2.4 percent in first eight months of 2025

Vietnam’s fresh milk production in August 2025 was estimated at 136.7 million litres, nearly unchanged from 137.0 million litres in July, according to the latest data from Vietnam’s National Statistics Office.

Output in August grew 2.6 percent year-on-year.

From January to August 2025, fresh milk output reached 1.11 billion litres, up 2.4 percent compared with the same period last year.

The increase reflects gradual expansion in domestic dairy farming and rising demand from both urban consumers and processors.

Stable production between July and August shows consistent supply, while the cumulative rise underlines long-term growth in Vietnam’s dairy sector.

Investments in herd expansion and productivity improvements continue to support the industry.

Fresh milk is a vital input for Vietnam’s dairy industry, contributing to the growing supply of packaged milk, yogurt, and dairy-based products.
