Vietnam’s exports of fertilizers reached US$68.60 million in April 2025, according to figures released by Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This represents a substantial decrease of 24.55 percent compared to March, with a year-to-date (YTD) export value of US$293.97 million.
Cambodia remains the top export market with significant growth:
Cambodia was the leading export market in April, with exports valued at US$24.81 million, a significant increase of 72.59 percent from March. Cambodia accounts for the largest share of the year-to-date exports at 23.12 percent.
Malaysia sees substantial growth to become a key export market:
Malaysia was the second-largest export market in April, with exports valued at US$8.50 million, a substantial increase of 75.62 percent from the previous month. Malaysia accounts for 8.98 percent of the year-to-date exports.
South Korea sees slight growth but remains a major market:
Exports to South Korea experienced a marginal increase of 5.22 percent in April, reaching US$6.74 million. South Korea accounts for 13.70 percent of the year-to-date exports.
Philippines records moderate growth:
Exports to the Philippines saw an increase of 12.78 percent in April, reaching US$3.80 million. Philippines accounts for 5.04 percent of the year-to-date exports.
Significant month-on-month increases and decreases:
Malaysia experienced the largest month-on-month increase at 75.62 percent, followed by Cambodia and Myanmar. Conversely, Taiwan experienced the most significant decrease at 79.88 percent, followed by the collective “Other” category and Thailand. Notably, there were no exports to Mozambique in April after exports in March.
