The State Bank of Vietnam’s central exchange rate edged down to VND 25,109 per US$1 from 25,114, a 0.02 percent decline, today, while the Google Finance mid-market rate also fell 0.02 percent to VND 26,338 per US dollar.
On the black market, however, both buy and sell rates rose 0.35 percent to VND 27,094 and VND 27,194 respectively, bringing the mid-market rate to VND 27,144, according to Ty Gia USD.
The spread between the official and black market mid-market rates widened by 99 dong to 2,035, equal to 8.10 percent.

Repo transactions increased across all maturities.
The 7-day repo value reached US$189.84 million, up from US$151.85 million.
The 14-day repos rose to US$151.87 million from US$113.89 million, and the 28-day repos doubled to US$303.74 million from US$151.85 million.
The 91-day repos climbed to US$113.90 million from US$75.93 million.
No T-bill transactions were recorded.

Vietnam interbank interest rates, 16 October 2025
Overnight rates rose to 4.82 percent from 4.73 percent, while the one-week rate remained stable at 4.91 percent.
Two-week rates increased to 5.08 percent from 4.93 percent, and one-month rates rose slightly to 5.32 percent from 5.26 percent.
Three-month rates climbed to 5.41 percent from 5.24 percent, while six-month rates fell to 5.83 percent from 6.04 percent.
Nine-month rates were unchanged at 5.02 percent.
