The Vietnamese dong held steady on 10 October, with the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) setting the central exchange rate at VND 25,128 per US dollar, down two dong or 0.01 percent from the previous day.
The Google Finance mid-market rate rose slightly to VND 26,343 per US dollar, while black-market rates were unchanged at VND 26,830 for buying and VND 26,930 for selling.
The gap between the official and black-market mid-rates widened marginally to 1,752 dong, equivalent to a spread of 6.97 percent.

Notably, the SBV scaled back liquidity operations, issuing just US$9.67 million in 7-day repos from US$189.77 million a day earlier.
No new 14-day, 28-day, or 91-day repos were issued.
The central bank also made no Treasury bill transactions during the session.

Interbank rates increased on 10 October. The overnight rate rose to 4.97 percent from 4.68 percent, up 0.29 percentage points or 6.20 percent.
The one-week rate climbed to 5.08 percent from 4.74 percent, a gain of 0.34 percentage points or 7.17 percent.
The two-week rate increased to 5.13 percent from 4.86 percent, up 0.27 percentage points or 5.56 percent.
The one-month rate rose to 5.28 percent from 4.08 percent, an increase of 1.20 percentage points or 29.41 percent.
The three-month rate rose to 5.60 percent from 5.13 percent, up 0.47 percentage points or 9.16 percent.
The six-month rate fell to 5.24 percent from 6.40 percent, a decrease of 1.16 percentage points or 18.13 percent.
