Vietnam’s exports of crude oil reached US$154.42 million in April 2025, according to figures released by Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This represents a substantial increase of 20.19 percent compared to March, with a year-to-date (YTD) export value of US$512.43 million.
Australia remains the top export market with significant growth:
Australia was the leading export market in April, with exports valued at US$111.02 million. This marks a significant increase of 39.57 percent from March and accounts for the largest share of the year-to-date exports at 59.16 percent.
Thailand sees a slight decrease but remains a major market:
Thailand was the second-largest export market in April, with exports valued at US$21.89 million, a decrease of 9.50 percent from the previous month. Thailand accounts for a substantial 31.80 percent of the year-to-date exports.
Significant month-on-month increases and decreases:
Australia experienced the largest month-on-month increase at 39.57 percent. Conversely, exports to other smaller markets collectively saw a decrease.
