Vietnam’s exports of clinker and cement reached US$112.45 million in April 2025, according to figures released by Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This represents a marginal increase of 0.39 percent compared to March, with a year-to-date (YTD) export value of US$410.86 million.
Philippines remains the top export market despite a significant decrease:
The Philippines was the leading export market in April, with exports valued at US$20.98 million. Despite a significant decrease of 27.17 percent from March, the Philippines accounts for the largest share of the year-to-date exports at 23.57 percent.
Bangladesh sees substantial growth to become a key export market:
Bangladesh was the second-largest export market in April, with exports valued at US$18.59 million, a substantial increase of 60.38 percent from the previous month. Bangladesh accounts for 16.62 percent of the year-to-date exports.
Taiwan experiences a significant decrease:
Exports to Taiwan saw a substantial decrease of 27.02 percent in April, falling to US$3.98 million. Taiwan accounts for 3.86 percent of the year-to-date exports.
Malaysia records a significant decrease:
Exports to Malaysia experienced a significant decrease of 36.04 percent in April, reaching US$2.80 million. Malaysia accounts for 3.69 percent of the year-to-date exports.
Significant month-on-month increases and decreases:
Bangladesh experienced the largest month-on-month increase at 60.38 percent. Conversely, Australia experienced the most significant decrease at 49.59 percent, followed by Malaysia and Taiwan. Notably, there were no exports to Peru and Chile in April after significant exports in March.
