Vietnam imported US$656.78 million worth of chemical products in April 2025, down 3.98 percent from March, according to the latest data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. Total year-to-date imports reached US$2.47 billion, with China, South Korea and Japan the top suppliers.
Country highlights:
- China remained the dominant supplier with US$277.63 million in April, down 5.42 percent month-on-month, accounting for 41.54 percent of total year-to-date imports.
- South Korea followed with US$77.51 million, up 5.16 percent from March.
- Japan delivered US$59.47 million, up 2.57 percent month-on-month.
- USA exports reached US$30.96 million, down 14.43 percent from March.
- Switzerland surged 203.21 percent to US$6.62 million.
- Indonesia dropped 34.28 percent to US$12.47 million.
- Malaysia fell 19.48 percent to US$18.92 million.
