Vietnam’s beer industry
Vietnam’s beer industry is one of the largest in Southeast Asia, driven by a young population and strong drinking culture, and is a key subsector of Vietnam’s food and beverage industry.
The market is dominated by major brewers such as Heineken Vietnam, Saigon Beer–Alcohol–Beverage Corporation (Sabeco), Carlsberg Vietnam, and Hanoi Beer Alcohol and Beverage Joint Stock Corporation (Habeco).
The industry faces challenges from stricter drink-driving laws, high taxes, and growing competition from imported and craft beers.
Despite this, demand for premium and craft products is rising, offering opportunities for investors who can adapt to changing consumer preferences and regulatory conditions.
