Average monthly wage in Vietnam reached VND 8.7 million (US$330) in Q4 2025, up 3.9 percent

Vietnam’s average monthly income rose sharply in late 2025, driven by stronger year-end economic activity and broad-based gains across sectors, according to the latest labour survey data from Vietnam’s National Statistics Office (NSO).

In the fourth quarter of 2025, the average monthly income of workers in Vietnam reached VND 8.7 million (about US$330), up 3.9 percent from the previous quarter and 6.2 percent year on year.

Male workers earned an average of VND 9.8 million (US$372), 1.32 times higher than female workers at VND 7.4 million (US$281).

Urban workers recorded average monthly incomes of VND 10.4 million (US$395), compared with VND 7.6 million (US$288) in rural areas.

Income growth accelerated in the final quarter as businesses ramped up production and services toward year-end, supporting higher employment and earnings, the NSO said.

By sector, agriculture, forestry and fisheries posted the fastest quarterly growth, with average incomes reaching VND 5.2 million (US$197), up 7.5 percent quarter on quarter and 8.4 percent year on year.

The services sector recorded average incomes of VND 10.3 million (US$391), while industry and construction reached VND 9.3 million (US$353).

For the full year 2025, average monthly income was estimated at VND 8.4 million (US$319), up 8.9 percent from 2024.

Salaried workers earned higher, averaging VND 9.5 million (US$361), with urban and male workers continuing to command income premiums.
