This positive month-on-month growth contributed to a year-to-date total for this product category, standing at $3,160,286,221.
In July 2025, the top five origins by dollar value for Vietnam’s imports of parts and accessories of motor vehicles were:
China
China remained the dominant origin in July, with import values reaching $202,782,618.
This represents an 8.57 percent month-on-month increase from June.
China’s year-to-date total for these imports stands at $1,172,352,466, accounting for 37.10 percent of all YTD imports in this category.
South Korea
South Korea followed as the second-largest origin, with July imports valued at $74,236,567.
This figure indicates a 16.49 percent month-on-month increase.
South Korea’s year-to-date total for these imports is $551,925,485, representing 17.46 percent of the total YTD imports for this product category.
Thailand
Thailand secured the third position in July with imports totaling $67,997,620.
This indicates a 6.59 percent month-on-month increase.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s imports of parts and accessories of motor vehicles is $431,608,990, making up 13.66 percent of the total YTD imports.
Japan
Japan contributed $67,294,776 worth of parts and accessories of motor vehicles in July.
Notably, Japan experienced an 11.29 percent month-on-month increase.
Japan’s year-to-date total for these imports is $381,949,160, accounting for 12.09 percent of the total YTD imports for this product.
Indonesia
Indonesia rounded out the top five import origins with $31,522,404 in July imports.
This country saw an 18.83 percent month-on-month increase.
Indonesia’s year-to-date total for these imports is $190,346,957, representing 6.02 percent of the total YTD imports for this category.
