China
China emerged as the top supplier in June, with import values reaching $145,165,776.
This represents a -3.67 percent month-on-month change from May.
China’s year-to-date total for these imports stands at $746,894,047, accounting for 33.45 percent of all YTD imports in this category.
Thailand
Thailand followed as the second-largest source, with June imports valued at $127,767,881.
This figure indicates a 53.69 percent month-on-month change.
Thailand’s year-to-date total for these imports is $676,268,467, representing 30.29 percent of the total YTD imports for this product category.
Indonesia
Indonesia secured the third position in June with imports totaling $91,648,834.
This indicates a -27.32 percent month-on-month change.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s imports of motor vehicles is $554,397,494, making up 24.83 percent of the total YTD imports.
Japan
Japan contributed $20,364,120 worth of motor vehicles in June.
Notably, Japan experienced a -48.37 percent month-on-month decrease.
Japan’s year-to-date total for these imports is $115,940,960, accounting for 5.19 percent of the total YTD imports for this product.
Russia
Russia rounded out the top five import sources with $4,945,576 in June imports.
This country showed strong positive momentum with a 130.67 percent month-on-month increase.
Russia’s year-to-date total for these imports is $14,768,979, representing 0.66 percent of the total YTD imports for this category.
