Australian tourist arrivals in Vietnam grow by 9.03 percent in November

Vietnam welcomed 44,039 tourists from Australia in November, marking a month-on-month increase of 3,647 visitors or 9.03 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism.

Year-to-date, Australian arrivals reached 439,734, reflecting a strong 32.5 percent growth compared to the same period last year. Australia remains one of Vietnam’s key long-haul tourism markets, showing consistent growth post-pandemic.

Australian tourists are drawn to a variety of destinations, including Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City for cultural and historical experiences, and Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, and Danang for relaxing beach holidays. Vietnam’s diverse cuisine and vibrant nightlife further enhance its appeal to Australian travellers.

Direct flights operated by Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar, and Qantas connect major Australian cities like Sydney and Melbourne to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. These routes, along with competitive airfares, have facilitated the steady rise in arrivals from Australia.

The sustained growth in Australian tourist numbers underscores Vietnam’s reputation as a versatile destination for leisure, culture, and adventure, solidifying its position in the Oceania travel market.
