Vietnam’s imports of corn saw a massive increase in July 2025, reaching $260,740,680, a 113.28 percent increase compared to June 2025, according to the latest data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

This significant month-on-month growth contributed to a year-to-date total for this product category, standing at $1,413,537,111.

In July 2025, the top five origins by dollar value for Vietnam’s imports of corn were:

Argentina

Argentina was the top origin in July, with import values reaching $139,870,287.

This represents a 38.92 percent month-on-month increase from June.

Argentina’s year-to-date total for these imports stands at $750,274,968, accounting for 53.08 percent of all YTD imports in this category.

Other

The “Other” category followed as the second-largest origin, with July imports valued at $91,799,127.

This figure indicates a remarkable 374.73 percent month-on-month increase.

The year-to-date total for this category is $360,303,627, representing 25.49 percent of the total YTD imports.

Brazil

Brazil secured the third position in July with imports totaling $27,176,644.

The data for this country shows a year-to-date total of $277,342,489.

Thailand

Thailand contributed $1,182,582 worth of corn in July.

Notably, Thailand experienced a -9.39 percent month-on-month decrease.

Thailand’s year-to-date total for these imports is $10,544,410, accounting for 0.75 percent of the total YTD imports for this product.

Laos

Laos rounded out the top five import origins with $447,040 in July imports.

This country saw a -25.47 percent month-on-month decrease.

Laos’s year-to-date total for these imports is $11,634,240, representing 0.82 percent of the total YTD imports for this category.
