Vietnam’s rice exports saw a significant decrease in June 2025, reaching $273,773,611, a -32.94 percent decrease compared to May 2025 according to the latest data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Despite this substantial month-on-month decline, the year-to-date total for rice exports stood at $2,444,832,251.
In June 2025, the top five destinations by dollar value for Vietnam’s rice exports were:
Philippines
The Philippines remained the top destination in June, despite a significant decrease in export values to $100,621,132.
This represents a -52.63 percent month-on-month change from May.
The Philippines’ year-to-date total for these exports stands at $1,042,541,647, accounting for 42.64 percent of all YTD rice exports.
Ghana
Ghana followed as the second-largest destination, with June exports valued at $43,235,077.
This figure indicates a -17.90 percent month-on-month change.
Ghana’s year-to-date total for these exports is $270,834,452, representing 11.08 percent of the total YTD rice exports.
Ivory Coast
Ivory Coast secured the third position in June with exports totaling $27,950,497.
This indicates a 30.62 percent month-on-month increase.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s rice exports is $259,816,103, making up 10.63 percent of the total YTD exports.
Other
The “Other” category contributed $28,031,931 worth of rice in June.
Notably, the “Other” category experienced a -11.02 percent month-on-month decrease.
The “Other” category’s year-to-date total for these exports is $232,936,329, accounting for 9.53 percent of the total YTD rice exports.
Malaysia
Malaysia rounded out the top five export destinations with $20,664,871 in June exports.
This country saw a 1.56 percent month-on-month increase.
Malaysia’s year-to-date total for these exports is $114,070,081, representing 4.67 percent of the total YTD exports for this category.
