Vietnam’s exports of wood and wooden products experienced a slight decrease in June 2025, reaching $1,349,159,275, a -4.37 percent decrease compared to May 2025, according to the latest data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Despite this month-on-month decline, the year-to-date total for this product category stood at $8,165,619,236.
In June 2025, the top five destinations by dollar value for Vietnam’s wood and wooden products exports were:
USA
The USA remained the dominant destination in June, with export values reaching $778,347,117.
This represents an -8.65 percent month-on-month change from May.
The USA’s year-to-date total for these exports stands at $4,562,731,780, accounting for 55.88 percent of all YTD wood and wooden products exports.
China
China followed as the second-largest destination, with June exports valued at $167,616,835.
This figure indicates a 21.71 percent month-on-month increase.
China’s year-to-date total for these exports is $875,792,444, representing 10.73 percent of the total YTD wood and wooden products exports.
Japan
Japan secured the third position in June with exports totaling $154,491,100.
This indicates an -8.67 percent month-on-month decrease.
Its year-to-date contribution to Vietnam’s wood and wooden products exports is $1,015,271,284, making up 12.43 percent of the total YTD exports.
South Korea
South Korea contributed $55,367,040 worth of wood and wooden products in June.
Notably, South Korea experienced a -5.65 percent month-on-month decrease.
South Korea’s year-to-date total for these exports is $370,809,883, accounting for 4.54 percent of the total YTD exports for this product.
Canada
Canada rounded out the top five export destinations with $22,795,077 in June exports.
This country saw an 11.13 percent month-on-month increase.
Canada’s year-to-date total for these exports is $136,028,798, representing 1.67 percent of the total YTD exports for this category.
