Vietnam’s yarn imports climbed over 15 percent in March

Vietnam imported US$244.78 million worth of yarn in March, an increase of 15.36 percent from February, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This pushed the total import value for the first three months of the year to US$650.88 million.

China remained the dominant supplier, with shipments surging 26.75 percent month-on-month to US$160.92 million, accounting for nearly 64 percent of the total. Imports from India rose 13.38 percent to US$16.91 million, while Taiwan and Malaysia saw moderate gains. Austria posted a sharp 45.64 percent increase. Conversely, imports from South Korea and the Netherlands dropped by 24.82 percent and 65.26 percent respectively.
