Vietnam’s exports of yarn increased by 4.67 percent in December compared to November, reaching US$384.88 million, according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Vietnam’s yarn exports total US$4.41 billion for 2024, reflecting continued demand across a variety of global markets.
The increase in exports was driven by strong growth in shipments to China, which rose by 4.00 percent, amounting to US$188.60 million. Exports to the USA and South Korea also showed positive growth, increasing by 13.81 percent and 9.31 percent, respectively. Exports to Cambodia saw a significant rise of 57.49 percent.
However, some markets experienced a decline. Exports to Bangladesh, Japan, and Indonesia dropped by 16.91 percent, 5.16 percent, and 18.89 percent, respectively.
