Large caps led the rebound as the VN30 gained 2.41 percent to 1,915.90, while the VN100 advanced 1.80 percent and VNALLSHARE added 1.75 percent.
Technology stocks outperformed, with VNIT surging 6.54 percent.
Construction fell 0.63 percent, and mid-caps were slightly weaker, down 0.08 percent.
The real estate, materials, and consumer sectors rose 2–3 percent, showing strong recovery momentum.

Most traded
SHB was the most traded stock by volume, with 1.44 million shares worth VND 2.41 trillion or US$92.5 million, closing 0.89 percent higher at VND 17,000.
SSI followed with 811,869 shares traded, rising 1.71 percent to 38.60 and reaching VND 3.10 trillion or US$119.2 million in value.
HPG gained 2.88 percent to 26.80 with 742,758 shares traded.
VPB added 2.02 percent to 30.35.
VIX declined 2.94 percent to 34.70 despite heavy turnover of 766,461 shares.

Foreign trading activity
Foreign investors were net buyers on October 21, 2025, with total purchases of VND 7.35 trillion or US$278.79 million and total sales of VND 4.98 trillion or US$188.92 million.
This resulted in a net inflow of VND 2.37 trillion or US$89.87 million, marking a strong return of foreign capital to the Vietnamese stock market.

Vietnam stocks most bought by foreign traders
Foreign investors bought heavily into SSI, purchasing 18.87 million shares and selling 7.23 million, resulting in a net buy of 11.64 million shares.
HPG followed with a net purchase of 6.37 million shares after 13.95 million bought and 7.58 million sold.
FPT also saw strong foreign interest, gaining 4.49 percent to 93,000 with a net buy of 5.79 million shares.
SHB was modestly accumulated with a 2.39 million share net buy, while VPB was the only major stock net sold, with 765,869 shares offloaded.

Vietnam stocks most sold by foreign traders
Foreign investors recorded the largest net sell in MSN, offloading 3.22 million shares as the stock fell 2.38 percent to 78,000.
VPB was also net sold by 765,869 shares despite a 2.88 percent gain to 30,350.
Meanwhile, SHB, HPG, and SSI all saw strong net buying, with SSI leading at 11.64 million shares, followed by HPG with 6.37 million and SHB with 2.39 million.
Overall, selling was concentrated in MSN and VPB, while demand remained strong across key banking and brokerage stocks.
