ToggleVietnam’s benchmark VN-Index edged up 0.18 percent to close at 1,654.89 points Wednesday, with total trading value reaching VND 20.19 trillion or US$766.34 million, and foreign traders net-selling US$30.63 million of stocks, according to the latest data from the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange → view source.
The VN30 Index, which tracks the 30 largest blue-chip stocks, declined 0.59 percent to 1,886.47, while the broader VN100 and VNAllshare indices also slipped 0.52 and 0.55 percent respectively, reflecting overall weakness in large- and mid-cap segments.
Mid-cap and small-cap stocks underperformed, with the VNMIDCAP down 0.94 percent and the VNSMALLCAP falling 1.01 percent.
Sector indices showed mixed performance: energy surged 3.96 percent, led by gains in oil and gas stocks, while construction rose 0.45 percent and real estate gained 0.64 percent.
In contrast, information technology dropped sharply by 2.27 percent and industrials fell 1.34 percent.
Total market liquidity on HoSE and HNX combined reached VND 21.61 trillion or US$820.04 million, indicating active but selective investor participation.

Most traded
PVD surged 5.9 percent to VND 24,250 with VND 780.85 billion or about US$30.03 million in turnover.
SSI rose 0.43 percent to VND 34,900, maintaining strong liquidity with VND 1.05 trillion or US$40.55 million traded.
VIX fell 2.87 percent to VND 27,050 on VND 875.15 billion or US$33.66 million traded, while HPG declined 1.68 percent to VND 26,300 with VND 551.95 billion or US$21.23 million in value.
SHB edged down 0.61 percent to VND 16,200 but recorded the highest volume of the session at 394 million shares, totalling VND 638.08 billion or US$24.54 million.

Foreign trading
Foreign investors extended their selling streak on November 5, 2025, with total net outflows of VND 807 billion or about US$30.63 million.
Total buy orders reached VND 2.31 trillion or US$87.74 million, while sell orders amounted to VND 3.12 trillion or US$118.37 million.
Year-to-date, foreign investors have sold a cumulative US$4.58 billion worth of Vietnamese equities.

Vietnam stocks most bought by foreign traders
DXG led foreign inflows with net purchases of 5.28 million shares, rising 0.5 percent to VND 20,100.
PVD followed with a net buy of 3.5 million shares, climbing 5.9 percent to VND 24,250.
FPT saw net foreign buying of 868,000 shares despite a 0.88 percent decline to VND 100,900.
Meanwhile, ACB and VPB experienced modest net selling of 783,000 and 287,000 shares respectively.

Vietnam stocks most sold by foreign traders
TCB led outflows with net sales of 5.07 million shares, falling 2.29 percent to VND 34,100.
VRE followed with net selling of 3.89 million shares, closing 2.11 percent lower at VND 32,500.
VIX also saw heavy foreign sales of 2.81 million shares, dropping 2.87 percent to VND 27,050, while SSI lost 0.29 percent to VND 34,900 on net outflows of 2.2 million shares.
ACB was also among the most sold, with 783,000 shares net sold as the stock slipped 0.78 percent to VND 25,600.
