Vietnam’s exports of textiles and garments reached US$3.21 billion in October 2024, marking a 7.8 percent increase compared to September, which recorded US$2.98 billion, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. The growth reflects sustained international demand for Vietnam’s high-quality textile and garment products.
Year-to-date figures also indicate robust performance. From January to October, exports in this category totalled US$30.57 billion, a 10.5 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023.
The strong year-to-date growth highlights Vietnam’s global competitiveness in the textile and garment industry, supported by skilled manufacturing, competitive pricing, and diversified markets. October’s performance reinforces the sector’s pivotal role in Vietnam’s export economy, with continued potential for expansion as demand remains strong.
