Vietnam’s exports of pastry, sweets, and cereal products declined by 4.8 percent month-on-month in November, reaching US$117.92 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. Year-to-date, exports in this category totalled US$1.11 billion.
The United States was the largest importer, contributing US$19.12 million in November, a 10.62 percent decline from October, while Japan increased its imports by 5.08 percent to US$11.78 million. South Korea also saw significant growth with a 26.71 percent increase, importing US$10.53 million during the month.
While exports to key markets like Cambodia and the UK contracted sharply, markets such as Canada and Taiwan posted robust growth, with Canada recording a 41.57 percent surge.
The performance of Vietnam’s pastry, sweets, and cereals exports underscores the varied dynamics across international markets.
