Vietnam’s pastry and cereal product exports surge in October

Vietnam’s exports of pastry, sweets, and cereal products experienced significant growth in October 2024, with export value reaching US$123.91 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This marks a 21.4 percent increase compared to September, which recorded US$102.03 million, indicating rising international demand for these products.

Year-to-date figures further highlight robust performance. From January to October, exports in this category totalled US$995.76 million, a 20.8 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023.

The consistent growth reflects Vietnam’s ability to meet the global appetite for its pastry and cereal offerings, supported by competitive pricing and product quality. October’s surge reaffirms the sector’s potential for sustained expansion, contributing steadily to the country’s export economy.
