Vietnam’s non-wood furniture exports rise in October, year-to-date growth remains strong

Vietnam’s exports of furniture made from materials other than wood experienced a notable increase in October, with export value reaching US$314.70 million. This represents an 18.1 percent rise compared to September, when the sector recorded US$266.36 million in exports, reflecting growing global demand for these products, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

Year-to-date figures further highlight the sector’s strong performance. From January to October, exports in this category totalled US$2.71 billion, a 33.5 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023.

The significant year-to-date growth reflects Vietnam’s expanding capabilities in producing high-quality, non-wood furniture, catering to a diverse international market. October’s rise underscores the sector’s pivotal role in Vietnam’s export portfolio and its potential for continued growth as global preferences for sustainable and innovative furniture solutions increase.
