Vietnam’s imports of pastry, sweets, and cereal products increase by 3.63 percent in December

Vietnam imported US$75.22 million worth of pastry, sweets, and cereal products in December 2024, reflecting a 3.63 percent increase compared to November, according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. Year-to-date imports reached US$641.30 million.

China remained the largest supplier, contributing US$23.39 million in December, a 14.80 percent increase from November. The USA posted the most significant growth, with imports surging by 296.22 percent to US$4.12 million. Thailand and South Korea also recorded increases of 13.42 percent and 9.32 percent, respectively.

On the other hand, imports from Germany, Singapore, and the Philippines fell sharply, with decreases of 41.73 percent, 28.42 percent, and 69.55 percent, respectively. Indonesia, Malaysia, and Belgium also recorded declines of 6.92 percent, 5.17 percent, and 13.48 percent, respectively.
