Vietnam’s housing and construction materials prices see steady October growth: Vietnam CPI

Vietnam’s consumer price index–CPI–for housing and construction materials in Vietnam rose steadily in October 2024.

Compared to October 2023, the CPI for housing and construction materials rose by 4.21 percent, showing a notable year-over-year increase. Furthermore, since December 2023, prices in this sector have climbed by 3.70 percent, indicating consistent growth over the year. Month-over-month, the CPI saw a modest increase of 0.11 percent from September to October 2024, highlighting some stability in short-term price levels.

From January to October 2024, the CPI for housing and construction materials increased by 5.22 percent compared to the same period in 2023. This year-to-date growth underscores rising costs driven by factors such as supply chain pressures and raw material cost inflation.
