Vietnam’s higher education market to grow by US$616.5 million by 2029: Report

Vietnam’s higher education market is forecast to expand by US$616.5 million between 2024 and 2029, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 15.6 percent, according to TechNavio. This growth is being driven by the increasing adoption of innovative educational content delivery methods and the ongoing internationalisation of the education sector, the report says.

The report goes on to say that, as Vietnam’s economy modernises, higher education institutions are evolving to meet new demands. The rise of technology-enabled learning, including online courses, virtual classrooms, and interactive digital platforms, is creating new opportunities for students and institutions alike. Additionally, international education programs are becoming more popular, attracting both domestic and foreign students.

However, affordability remains a key concern, with rising tuition costs posing a challenge for many prospective students. Institutions that can successfully address this issue while leveraging digital transformation and global partnerships are expected to thrive in Vietnam’s competitive higher education landscape.
