Vietnam’s exports of handbags, purses, suitcases, headgear, and umbrellas increased by 42.10 percent in March compared to February, reaching US$366.64 million, according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Total year-to-date exports rose to US$992.28 million, fuelled by robust demand from North American and European markets.
Shipments to the USA surged by 43.41 percent, totalling US$154.39 million and accounting for nearly 42 percent of total exports. The Netherlands, Germany, and the UK also recorded strong growth, while exports to Hong Kong soared by nearly 198 percent. Norway and Peru posted the sharpest increases, up by over 1500 percent and 580 percent, respectively. However, exports to Taiwan and Thailand declined.
