Vietnam’s fruit and vegetable exports fell significantly in October 2024, with export value reaching US$519.80 million. This marks a 43.3 percent decline compared to September, when the sector generated US$917.25 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs
Despite the October decline, year-to-date performance remains strong. From January to October, Vietnam exported fruits and vegetables valued at US$6.16 billion, representing a 27.8 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023.
The robust year-to-date growth underscores Vietnam’s competitiveness in this sector, driven by diversified offerings and growing global demand for high-quality produce. While the October dip signals a temporary setback, the overall upward trend highlights the sector’s importance in the country’s export economy.
