Vietnam’s Fabric Manufacturing Industry 2025: Key Products, Trends & Imports

Vietnam’s fabric manufacturing industry plays an essential role in supporting the country’s textile and garment sector, which is a major contributor to the economy.

In 2025, the industry is experiencing steady growth, driven by demand from both domestic and international markets. As one of the world’s largest garment exporters, Vietnam relies heavily on fabric manufacturing to meet the needs of its apparel industry and reduce dependency on imported materials.

The fabric manufacturing sector in Vietnam produces a variety of textiles, including cotton, polyester, blended, and specialty fabrics. These products are used in a wide range of applications, from everyday apparel to technical textiles for industrial use.

With rising consumer demand for sustainable and eco-friendly fabrics, many Vietnamese manufacturers are investing in greener technologies and practices, such as organic materials and water-saving dyeing processes, to align with global sustainability trends.

Despite the sector’s growth, Vietnam’s fabric industry faces challenges such as reliance on imported raw materials, fluctuating costs, and competition from regional players. However, with government support and investment in technology, the industry is gradually strengthening its domestic supply chain.

By expanding capacity and enhancing quality standards, Vietnam’s fabric manufacturing industry is well-positioned to support the country’s ambitious textile export goals and maintain its competitiveness in the global market.
