Vietnam’s exports to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) totalled US$456.87 million in October, representing a slight decline of 2.04 percent month-on-month. The year-to-date export value reached US$4.77 billion, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Telephones and mobile phones remained the largest export category, contributing US$208.12 million, though this reflected a decline of 13.42 percent compared to September. Footwear exports grew significantly by 50.31 percent, reaching US$25.54 million, while plastic products recorded the highest growth, rising by 81.19 percent to US$1.36 million.
Fishery products increased by 37.63 percent to US$3.80 million, and precious stones and metals surged by 73.68 percent to US$44,328. Exports of rice also saw strong growth of 67.53 percent, totalling US$3.81 million.
Conversely, other means of transportation and parts dropped sharply by 69.10 percent to US$6.04 million. Textiles and garments fell by 10.45 percent to US$14.27 million, and wood and wooden products decreased by 24.93 percent to US$3.53 million.
