Vietnam’s exports to Brazil reached US$233.25 million in October, marking a 9.07 percent increase from September, according to recent trade data. This growth highlights Brazil’s importance as a key market for Vietnamese goods, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Telephones, mobile phones, and their parts were the top export, valued at US$54.53 million for October, contributing significantly to the year-to-date total of US$539.27 million. Computers, electrical products, and spare parts also performed strongly, growing by 50.98 percent month-on-month (MoM) to US$36.40 million.
Rubber exports saw remarkable growth, rising 56.71 percent MoM to US$2.57 million. Rubber products also increased 43.64 percent to US$2.78 million. These gains underline growing demand for Vietnamese rubber in Brazil.
Meanwhile, footwear exports reached US$18.46 million, up 35.07 percent MoM, contributing to a year-to-date total of US$149.52 million. Textiles and garments also rose by 16.67 percent MoM, indicating sustained interest in Vietnam’s apparel sector.
However, some categories faced declines. Exports of textile, leather, and footwear materials dropped by 37.60 percent, while shipments of iron and steel fell 34.65 percent to US$14.96 million.
Cumulatively, Vietnam’s exports to Brazil have totalled US$2.23 billion year-to-date, driven by consistent demand for tech products, machinery, and rubber. The trade partnership continues to strengthen, positioning Brazil as one of Vietnam’s significant export markets in South America.
