Vietnam’s exports of handbags, purses, suitcases, headgear, and umbrellas reached US$388.76 million in November, marking a 6.6 percent increase compared to the previous month, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This brought the year-to-date total to US$3.83 billion, showcasing the resilience of Vietnam’s accessory manufacturing sector.
The United States led the imports, purchasing US$168.35 million, an 11.85 percent increase from October. Japan followed with US$36.09 million, up 16.05 percent. The Netherlands imported US$28.76 million, showing a marginal increase of 1.35 percent. Meanwhile, Belgium saw a sharp rise of 35.67 percent, importing US$15.95 million. Notably, Australia recorded a significant jump of 19.58 percent to reach US$7.08 million in imports.
Vietnam continues to solidify its position as a leading global exporter of accessories, driven by high demand in key markets and competitive production costs.
