Of note, Vietnam’s education and training sector has seen significant development in recent years, supported by economic growth and increasing demand for skilled workers. The government has prioritised education as a cornerstone of national development, focusing on modernisation, digitalisation, and alignment with global standards. The sector covers a wide range of areas, including primary and secondary education, higher education, vocational training, and language instruction, particularly in English.
Foreign direct investment (FDI) plays an important role in the education sector, with investors from countries like Australia, Singapore, and the United States establishing international schools, universities, and training centres. These institutions introduce advanced curricula and teaching methods, catering to the rising middle class and workforce needs in high-tech and service industries. Key areas of growth include STEM education, online learning platforms, and vocational training programs tailored to industry demands. With Vietnam’s young and dynamic population, the education and training sector continues to evolve, offering opportunities for innovation and partnerships to meet the challenges of a knowledge-driven economy.
