Vietnam’s coal exports fell sharply by 71.94 percent in March compared to February, totalling just US$4.54 million, according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
The year-to-date total reached US$27.43 million, with Indonesia, Japan, and the Philippines accounting for the majority despite significant drops. Exports to the Philippines and Taiwan ceased entirely in March, after sizable shipments in February.
India emerged as the top destination in March, receiving over US$4 million worth of coal after no reported exports the previous month.
