Vietnam’s exports of chemical products decreased by 3.15 percent in February 2025 compared to January, reaching US$221.24 million, according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Vietnam’s chemical products exports total US$449.60 million for 2025, reflecting a decrease driven by lower shipments to key markets like the USA and Cambodia.
The decline in exports was primarily driven by reduced shipments to the USA, which fell by 34.38 percent, amounting to US$8.46 million. Exports to Laos, Indonesia, and Japan also showed significant declines, dropping by 19.60 percent, 11.26 percent, and 16.97 percent, respectively.
However, some markets showed growth. Exports to China saw an increase of 27.17 percent, amounting to US$31.91 million. Exports to the Philippines and Taiwan also increased by 22.34 percent and 29.17 percent, respectively. Myanmar and Hong Kong showed remarkable growth, increasing by 57.54 percent and 71.68 percent, respectively.
