Vietnam’s exports of chemicals surged in October 2024, with export value reaching US$253.09 million. This represents a 12 percent increase compared to September’s US$225.99 million, highlighting robust demand for Vietnamese chemical products, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Year-to-date figures also indicate significant growth. From January to October, chemical exports totalled US$2.28 billion, a 15.2 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023.
The consistent year-to-date rise and October’s double-digit growth underline Vietnam’s strengthening position in the global chemical market. The sector’s continued expansion reflects enhanced production capabilities and rising international demand for industrial and specialty chemicals.
