Vietnam’s imports of animal fodders and related materials dropped 26.27 percent month-on-month in March, totalling US$368.03 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This marks a significant decline from February’s total of US$499.18 million, bringing year-to-date imports to just over US$1.16 billion.
Argentina remained the top supplier, accounting for 42.41 percent of the total at US$133.42 million, despite a 45.20 percent decline. Brazil followed with US$64.51 million, down 27.23 percent, and the USA recorded US$55.96 million, dropping 8.49 percent. China bucked the trend with a 52.56 percent increase, reaching US$30.47 million. Several smaller markets, including Mexico and France, saw notable growth of 235.86 percent and 60.77 percent respectively.
Imports from Indonesia, India and Canada declined significantly, while some regional suppliers such as Thailand and Taiwan maintained stable performance.
