Vietnam’s 2027 growth forecast has been raised to 7.6 percent while its 2026 projection was increased to 6.3 percent, compared to 6.1 percent previously, in the World Bank’s April Economic Update.
The revision follows an 8.0 percent expansion in 2025, the strongest among regional peers and well above its 5.2 percent average from 2020 to 2024.
Notably, Vietnam’s growth remains among the highest in Southeast Asia, exceeding projections for Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines.
Indonesia shows comparable stability but at lower levels, with growth forecast at 4.7 percent in 2026 and 5.2 percent in 2027.
