Vietnam retail sales see marginal growth in October

Vietnam’s retail sales recorded a slight increase in October, reflecting steady consumer demand across key sectors, according to Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade data.

The total retail sales for September reached VND 529.24 trillion, equivalent to US$20.82 billion. By October, this figure rose to VND 532.88 trillion, or US$20.96 billion, marking a month-on-month growth of 0.69 percent.

Year-to-date, total retail sales amounted to VND 4,833.76 trillion, or US$190 billion. This cumulative performance underscores the robust demand in Vietnam’s retail market, driven by both general goods and services.

The modest growth in October highlights the resilience of Vietnam’s retail sector as it continues to navigate shifting economic conditions and evolving consumer behaviour. The steady performance reflects the sector’s critical role in sustaining the country’s economic activity.
