Vietnam exports to Saudi Arabia up 22.66% January 2026 MoM / phones +49.05%, computers -36.78%

In January, Vietnam exported US$223 million worth of goods to Saudi Arabia, up 22.66 percent over December, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

So far this year, Vietnam has exported US$223 million worth of goods to Saudi Arabia.

Vietnam exported US$113.56 million worth of phones to Saudi Arabia in January. This was up from US$76.19 million in December, a change of 49.05 percent.

It also exported US$20.14 million worth of other means of transportation, parts and accessories thereof to Saudi Arabia in January. This was up from US$0.82 million in December, a change of 2370.89 percent.

It also exported US$13.05 million worth of machines, equipment, tools and instruments to Saudi Arabia in January. This was up from US$8.46 million in December, a change of 54.24 percent.

Vietnam also exported US$13.03 million worth of computers to Saudi Arabia in January. This was down from US$20.62 million in December, a change of -36.78 percent.

Vietnam’s trade with Saudi Arabia

In January, Vietnam imported US$103.50 million worth of goods from Saudi Arabia and exported US$222.91 million to Saudi Arabia, for total trade worth US$326.41 million, and leaving a trade surplus of US$119.42 million.

Two-way trade so far this year between Vietnam and Saudi Arabia has reached US$326 million, with Vietnam importing US$103 million worth of goods and exporting US$223 million worth of goods.

Recent developments involving the two countries include:

LPG supply disruptions

PVGas Trading has notified customers of disruptions to LPG supplies after a jetty collapse at Saudi Aramco’s Juaymah NGL facility on February 23.

All liquefied petroleum gas cargoes scheduled from March 10 to Thi Vai and Diem Dien terminals have been suspended, it says.

Vietnam-Saudi Arabia trade relations

Vietnam and Saudi Arabia established diplomatic relations in 1999 and have expanded cooperation through trade, investment and labour agreements.

Both countries are members of international forums, including the World Trade Organization and have strengthened ties through high-level visits and economic cooperation mechanisms.

Trade between the two countries is dominated by Vietnam’s exports of seafood, agricultural products, textiles and electronics.

Saudi Arabia is also an important supplier of crude oil and petrochemical products to Vietnam, supporting the country’s energy and industrial sectors.
