The black-market rate stayed flat, with buying at VND 27,520 and selling at VND 27,620, keeping the mid-market rate at VND 27,570 per US$1.
The spread between the official and black-market mid-market rates was stable at VND 2,472 or 9.85 percent.

Open market operations
The State Bank of Vietnam sharply increased short-term liquidity injections on 24 October.
Seven-day repos rose to US$152.01 million from US$37.98 million, while 14-day repos climbed to US$342.02 million from US$189.88 million.
In contrast, new 28-day repos fell to US$190.01 million from US$303.80 million yesterday.
Ninety-one-day repos surged to US$152.01 million from US$37.98 million.
No 7-day T-bills were issued.

Interbank interest rates
Interbank rates rose across most short tenors on 24 October.
The overnight rate jumped 0.97 percentage points to 6.16 percent, while the one-week rate climbed 0.57 points to 5.91 percent.
Two-week and one-month tenors rose to 6.07 and 6.00 percent, respectively.
Longer terms were mixed, with the three-month rate up slightly to 5.79 percent, six-month down to 5.81 percent, and nine-month steady at 5.10 percent.
The data indicate tighter short-term liquidity conditions in the interbank market.
