Vietnam’s total car sales fell to 24,479 units in April 2026 from 31,351 units in March, according to Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association data.
Year-to-date total car sales reached 76,790 units, compared with 23,186 units over the same period in 2025.
Passenger car sales declined to 16,288 units in April from 19,867 units in March, while truck sales fell to 5,950 units from 7,629 units.
Bus sales dropped to 464 units from 711 units, while special-purpose vehicle sales rose to 5 units from 1 unit in March.
Hybrid vehicle sales fell to 1,723 units in April from 3,143 units in March, though year-to-date hybrid sales reached 5,125 units compared with 973 units a year earlier.
Battery electric vehicle sales reached 49 units in April.
