Vietnam imported US$122.18 million worth of glass and glassware in August, up 6.3 percent from US$114.91 million in July, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Year-to-date imports totalled US$902.85 million.
China remained the dominant supplier with US$80.30 million in August, accounting for 66.4 percent of total imports.
Malaysia followed with US$12.92 million, up 27.4 percent month-on-month. South Korea contributed US$7.13 million, Japan US$5.98 million, and Thailand US$4.75 million.
Other suppliers included Indonesia at US$3.70 million and Austria at US$1.46 million, while imports from the USA fell to US$672,674.
