Vietnam imported US$116.60 million worth of paper products in August, almost unchanged from US$116.92 million in July, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Year-to-date imports reached US$825.11 million.
China was the largest supplier, contributing US$92.38 million in August, equal to 75.4 percent of the total.
Thailand ranked second with US$7.65 million, followed by South Korea at US$3.63 million, Japan at US$3.26 million, and Taiwan at US$1.98 million.
Imports from Indonesia were US$1.58 million, Malaysia US$1.51 million, and Hong Kong US$1.13 million.
Smaller volumes came from the USA at US$667,741 and Germany at US$328,037.
