Vietnam welcomed 95,087 visitors from the Americas in November, marking a month-on-month increase of 18,897 visitors or 24.8 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism.
Year-to-date, tourist arrivals from the Americas reached 907,902, reflecting a 19.6 percent growth compared to the same period last year. The United States led the region with 69,237 arrivals in November, an 18.92 percent increase from October. Canada followed with 17,582 visitors, up 41.9 percent, while other countries in the Americas contributed 8,268 visitors, a rise of 48.2 percent.
American tourists are primarily drawn to major cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City for their cultural experiences and vibrant urban attractions. Beach destinations such as Danang and Phu Quoc also attract significant interest for leisure and relaxation.
Airlines including Vietnam Airlines, United Airlines, Delta Airlines, and American Airlines provide key connections between Vietnam and the Americas, with direct and connecting flights to cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Vancouver.
The steady rise in arrivals from the Americas underscores Vietnam’s growing appeal as a travel destination for long-haul tourists. Efforts to enhance connectivity and promote Vietnam’s rich cultural and natural heritage have contributed to this growth.
