Vietnam welcomed 104,874 tourists from the Americas in March 2025, down 10.3 percent from February, according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Statistics. However, total arrivals in the first quarter reached 341,501, a 13 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024, marking a significant boost to Vietnam’s tourism industry from the Americas.
Country highlights:
- The United States remained the largest source with 78,356 arrivals, down 10.6 percent month-on-month but still up 11.3 percent year-on-year.
- Canada followed with 19,389 arrivals in March, reflecting an 11.7 percent decline from February but a strong 20.4 percent year-on-year increase.
- Other Americas held relatively steady, with only a 2.9 percent monthly drop and 14.3 percent growth compared to Q1 2024.
While March saw a dip in visitor numbers from the Americas, year-to-date trends indicate a resilient recovery, particularly from Canada and other American markets. This suggests growing interest in Vietnam as a long-haul destination despite short-term fluctuations.
